facts!
- shannon olivia brown, shan to those who know her at all, was born in valencia, spain on october 21, 1987. when she was a year old she was adopted by the brown's and brought back to pennsylvania. they had already had one child, a son who was two at the time, but due to unforseen circumstances, mrs. brown was not going to be able to have any more children and her lifelong dream had been to have one of each. it was through a friend of a friend they had even found out about shannon and were ecstatic to find out she was going to be theirs.
- throughout childhood, shan was always a very girly girl. she liked doing her hair, playing with make-up, and things that didn't involve getting too terribly dirty despite her older brother dragging her into things. she faired okay in school and pretty much just blended in until she got to eighth grade. with the addition of boobs (and the new attention they brought), shan decided it was time for some life changes. she began to play video games and get into all things skateboarding, hanging out at the arcade in her free time or with the boys who were "going to be stars" that could barely play their guitars. she also started bleaching her hair and even pierced her nose at a slumber party without permission.
- shan is big into fun and not into drama, so even though she was all about pushing boundaries she couldn't be arsed to spend time on petty bullshit. she was respectful to her parents (though not always their wishes) and coasted through high school with only the minor mishap or twelve. when she graduated she was accepted to the university of washington, where she currently attends, for a major in women's studies. no particular reason other than it interests her and seemed easy enough; but shan has found it to be rather enlightening and she maybe even now considers herself a bit of a feminist. plus the major also gave her the opportunity to keep going with her favorite hobby: photography.
- the blonde always has a camera in hand, and has taken several event photos for concerts or protests or what-have-you. alongside setting up her own photography business for wedding photos and senior pictures, she has worked at urban outfitter's for the past two years. she recently returned to both jobs after spending a summer semester abroad in greece because traveling is also another passion she feels strongly about. though she still speaks very little greek, she knows enough to get by and the food was pretty sweet too.
- as for the future shan plans just to continue her degree though a "real job" isn't something she's put a lot of thought into. her parents haven't really pushed her to work or to consider those things and say the day for that will come, but the fact is she's a junior now and the real world is knocking just a few doors down at the moment. since she's not the type to stress out shan figures that something will fall into her lap or a change of scenery will bring the perfect opportunity for her to shine.
- personality wise, shan is very laid back. she'll put just about anything into her body but her three essential food groups are pizza, chips, and alcohol. she often gets along better with guys than girls yet her trust issues span across both genders so sometimes she tends to just be a loner; though those that truly get to know her know she can be very silly and loves to do anything for a laugh. she would truly give the shirt off her back for anyone and is actually quite caring despite the standoffish forefront. she finds interest in some odd things, collecting things like any object bone related or crystal looking. one day she hopes to visit spain again but for now is content to travel wherever she can manage the money to.
